The Tour is for 11 days (10 nights) and the focus is on the story of the Australia POWs, their hospitals and camps and the Australian doctors.

The ANZAC Day Dawn Service in Hellfire Pass and the later Memorial Service in the War Cemetery at Kanchanaburi are highlights.

The Bridge on the River Kwai, museums and other areas of interest are visited as part of the tour.

Descendants of exPOWs and experts on the Thai Burma Railway travel on the tour and provide commentaries in addition to English speaking Thai Guides.

Depart Australia for Bangkok

Visit the Royal Summer Palaces at Bang Pa-in & the ancient capital Ayutthaya.

Dinner cruising on the Chayo Phraya River guest of Tourist Authority of Thailand.

Day 3

Time : 7:30 am


To Nakom Pathom, Video “Surgeon of the Railway” Nong Pladuck, Ban Pong, Tamuang and Kanchanaburi.

Lunch at Tida Loa Restaurant and visit the bridge over the river Kwai Noi.

Visit Thailand Burma Railway Centre (TBRC)

Welcome Dinner on floating raft with Karoke.

Day 4

Visit Chungkai Cutting and Cemetery and then to TBRC

Train to Wampo Viaduct with lunch at Jungle Training Centre.

Visit Tarsao hospital and camp sites (Pung Waan Kwai Noi Resort) and Tarsao.

Day 5

Time : 8:00 am


Buddhist Ceremony.

Kun Kanit,Kun Oonjai and POW Remembrance.

Visit Hintok Road Camp, Kinsayok Camp area, Sai Yok Yai Waterfalls,

Houseboat trip and lunch on River Kwai terminating at the Hintok River POW Camp, Konnyu River Camp,

Long tail boat ride to Home Phu Toey

Overnight accommodation at Home Phu Toey.

Day 6

Time : 9:00 am

Visit Wat Takanun, Takanun Camps and Vajiralonghorn Dam (formerly Khao Lam Dam) (lunch at Dam staff club).

Visit Pass Brankassi and Hindato camps.

Walk the Burma Railway Heritage Trail from Hintok Road through Hintok Cutting to Hellfire Pass Museum.

Overnight accommodation at Home Phu Toey.

Day 7

Hellfire Pass Museum.

Erawan waterfall, Ta Dan Bridge and Lat Ya.
